Weddings

The Academy has an elegant theater-style 254-seat auditorium. The entrance is off the famed rotunda where the chandelier from “Gone With The Wind” hangs.. Many happily married couples have walked down the long center aisle in the presence of family and friends. This is truly an elegant setting for your wedding. All of our weddings are truly individual and we are pleased to recommend the finest in bride couture, elegant cakes and breathtaking floral arrangements. Our wedding parties are afforded a quiet, relaxed atmosphere. We want our clients to feel at home at the Academy and enjoy our entire facility. Included for our wedding parties at no additional charge:
- Use of all of the Academy’s inventory of tables, chairs
- Complete setup before the event and tear-down after the event
- A wedding rehearsal the day before the ceremony.
- Separate bride’s room and groom’s room and a kitchen area.
- Use of all of our grounds, including our beautiful, quiet, secluded private garden.

Wedding Receptions

Whether or not you hold your wedding at the Academy, it is the perfect venue for your wedding reception. The Academy has a huge central rotunda, large dinning, room, as well as two very large, well-appointed sitting rooms. It also has well-manicured, spacious grounds that can also be used for outside functions. Our events staff is pleased to show you a wide variety of layouts for your function. The Academy has more than 9,000 square feet of event space that can accommodate a wide variety of layouts to meet your specific requirements. The Academy can accommodate receptions for up to 300 people and seated formal dinners for about 150 people, including space for entertainment and dancing. |
| The Academy has a list of preferred caterers. They provide excellent selections and work within a wide variety of budgets. The Academy holds its own liquor license and bar service is provided through Complete Beverage Systems. Complete Beverage Systems offers various affordable packages and is pleased to provide custom and special drinks and champagne toasts for your guests. Outside alcohol is prohibited and it is Academy policy that if alcohol is served, an Atlanta police officer must be present. The Academy is pleased to secure the services of a policeman on request. |
